Bill Thompson's Running Records

I began running 2 or 3 times a week, and have since participated in a number of races, mainly 5K's. Recently, I have attempted some 5 Mile runs and plan to tackle a 10K soon. Many of these races raise money that benefit worthy causes. My brother-in-law Dan, my daughter Anne-Marie, and my son Will sometimes appear in these races, and their times are quite a bit faster than mine. I have been encouraged by a gradual improvement in my times.

I highly recommend running as a great way of staying motivated, improving your health, and having fun!

10K Races:

Our group runs each Monday evening in Panorama Village at 6:30 P.M. We do a 5K loop -- all speeds - join us!

We also run on Saturday mornings at 6:00 A.M. meeting at Cracker Barrel. We run a longer run -- looping through Panorama and Teaswood - about 7 miles. Some who are training for longer races this Fall and Winter start increasing the Saturday run in length.
