Both with respect to numbers and times, the kids dominated RTW #118. Of the 41 finishers, 14 (34%) were under age 20.

Home for the Thanksgiving break from her LSU studies, three-time RTW women's division winner, women's course record-holder and women's age group 13-19 record-holder Erin Vandivort broke her existing record by 33 seconds. Despite this, Erin failed to win the women's division and also surrendered her record. Fifteen year old Nicole Jones, making her first RTW appearance, placed 7th overall crossing the finish line in 18:25 to take women's honors and records.

Baylor University student Jacob Jones (no relation to Nicole) took the lead before leaving the Barbara Bush Elementary School parking lot and cruised to a 30-second win over SHU student - and former Willis High teammate - Clay Schubert. The first-place finish was his 7th in the series.

THERE WILL BE A RACE CHRISTMAS DAY. Tom McDonough has volunteered to take the controls for a 4th Saturday of the month race - Christmas Day. To the best of our knowledge, this will make the race one of only three run on Christmas Day in the United States. However, this will NOT affect the shoe drive deadline - December 11th. Please bring in any serviceable running shoes to the next race. Each pair donated will earn one entry for a raffle to be held after the race on the 11th.
