THE DELIUS SOCIETY PRESENTS THE ST. MARK'S CHOIR AND ORGAN WITH CONDUCTOR MATTHEW GLANDORF & ORGANIST BERNARD KUNKLE

The Delius Society presents the 25-voice St. Mark's Choir in a program of unusual choral works from the British school. Works of Frederick Delius and his close friend Peter Warlock will be featured along with the complete Missa Maria Magdalene by William S. Lloyd Webber, the father of cellist Julian and musical show composer Andrew. Short works by Boris Ord and Gustav Holst round out the choral selections.

Organist Bernard Kunkle will perform the Choral, Cantilena and Finale by Lloyd Webber and Dom Gregory Murray's transcription of Delius's A Song Before Sunrise on the 4-manual Aeolian-Skinner-Cornel Zimmer organ, one of the largest church organs in Philadelphia.

ADMISSION IS FREE. A free-will offering will be received to benefit the St. Mark's music program.

Matthew Glandorf was born in Germany and came to the Curtis Institute at age 16. His graduate work was at the Manhattan School of Music. He has held organist/choirmaster positions at several Philadelphia churches including Old St. Joseph's RC Church, Old Pine Street Presbyterian, and The Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion. He has been artistic director of The Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia since 2004 and has been on the Curtis Institute faculty since 1995.
